04.03.2023 от eduardoblohm81 Выкл

The likelihood of caries in adolescents & children in many European places has been declining for some years. This has been attributed largely to the use of fluoride, primarily in toothpastes, as well as improved oral hygiene. In the same period the diet plan, including consumption of other carbohydrates and sugars has remained constant. When cavities are operated by fluoride along with regular dental hygiene (in nearly all European countries), moderate consumption of sugars isn’t a serious risk factor except in people with high risk of decay or even not making use of toothpaste with fluoride.

Far more than half of European children between five and 7 years do not have cavities in their infant teeth (milk). In most cases, those cavities are only affected to a tooth. The «DMF T index» which describes the number of decayed, fallen or fillings, can be used to measure the frequency of dental caries. In European kids 12 years the rates started to decline during the 80’s and carried on to drop in the 90 to get the fees suggested by the WHO in 2000. The DMF-T figures for this particular age group range from one in Finland and the Netherlands, and 3 in Portugal, however, they are higher in certain places of Eastern Europe. In some countries the occurrance of caries is polarizing, with eighty % of cavities acquired in only 20 % of the public. For these high-risk groups recommended certain intervention strategies.

In most countries the decrease in caries in kids now extends to adolescents as well as youth. The earlier people kept their teeth longer. The risk of root caries, with diminishing gums can in addition be controlled with preventive measures described.
