Sarah shares heartbreaking note one week after premature baby died

Bachelor Nation’s Sarah Herron shared a heartrending Instagram message one week after her baby son Oliver .

Herron broke the news on Wednesday that she had welcomed a baby son with her fiancé Dylan Brown last Saturday, only to lose the child shortly thereafter.

Now in an Instagram note posted this Friday, she noted that it had been ‘1 week’ since her family tragedy began to unfold.

She shared a touching picture taken last Friday in which she glowed with happiness while her dog Rio sat on her lap near her baby bump.

‘This was on our last morning all sitting together,’ she wrote.’It was the last morning that I got to soak-in his big summersalts and hiccups. I want to go back. I’d give anything to go back to last Friday morning. We miss you and love you baby boy.’

In a devastating Instagram post this Wednesday, she announced: ‘On January 28th, at 24 weeks old, our beautiful son Oliver Brown was born.

‘He passed away in his dad’s arms shortly after,’ Herron wrote in an emotional Instagram post that traced the joys and sorrows of their brief time with their son.

‘There are no words for the magnitude of loss and pain we’re experiencing,’ she continued.’It’s beautiful and simultaneously tragic. He had my nose and his dad’s mouth and long fingers.’

‘Oliver, our miracle defied so many odds and fought through so many hard milestones to be here, but the higher powers still had other plans for the three of us,’ Herron wrote.

‘Our time together was short, but we are grateful for the days we had with Oliver in my belly.’

She continued: ‘He has taught us so much about the integrity of life, love and death.Oliver filled our home and hearts with so much love and most importantly, optimism. The stars aligned to create Baby Oliver with a deep, meaningful purpose bigger than we’ll ever understand. His body was small, but his legacy will always be larger than life to us.’

She made it clear that little Oliver was a constant companion on her adventures during their time together.

‘Oliver swam with sea turtles, he kept me company while I recovered from a broken knee, and he loved his dad’s cooking.Most of all, Oliver loved his morning routine of laying heart to heart with his brother, Rio, on my lap,’ she wrote, referring to the family’s dog.

Among her photos was a black-and-white image of Sarah looking at peace as Dylan, who is a filmmaker, kissed her forehead while Oliver rested on her chest. 

But she had a look of agony in another color photo as she lay down in her hospital bed, while Dylan again kissed her forehead and cradled her face in his hands. 

The former Bachelor In Paradise contestant looked back fondly as she showed off her burgeoning tummy in an older mirror selfie.

She also beamed as she showed off her and Oliver’s usual morning routine, with Rio sitting on her lap while she cozied up under a blanket.

Another image showed a majestic sea turtle that she swam with while Oliver was still along for the ride. 

‘While our hearts are shattered beyond comprehension, we are comforted knowing that our son’s soul only ever knew love and will not suffer in a body that wasn’t built for this life,’ Sarah added in her caption.

‘We’ll never understand the cruelty of it all, but through the darkness, Oliver remains so so bright.We love you so much, baby boy. You will never be replaced. You are so perfect and awesome,’ she concluded, sign off for herself and Dylan as ‘Mommy and Daddy.’

Sarah enjoyed a stroll on the beach in a photo as she cradled her baby bump with her arm.

An earlier photo showed her and Dylan beaming ear to ear, with the filmmaker placing his hand over her barely there tummy.

She also included a picture of a Christmas ornament featuring a cheerful sea turtle riding a red surfboard, with ‘Oliver 2022’ written upon it.

Sarah, who went through IVF treatments to help her conceive Oliver, announced that she and Dylan — whom she got engaged to in May 2021 — were expecting their first child together in September of 2022.

She didn’t shy away from sharing the details of her treatments with her fans on social media, and that openness was why she was willing to share the news of her pregnancy relatively early, rather than waiting.

‘I know many families prefer to keep pregnancy private until after the first trimester, but I have shared entire fertility journey since day one,’ she told .’One of the blessings of IVF is the support I have gained by being transparent about this process.’
