Plus Fitness general manager Gordon Martin said the gym group’s quality needed an update to ‘stand out from the crowd’
All 200 gyms are expected to be refitted by 2025 and the business plans to expand to become one the larger chains in the country.
Plus Fitness general manager Gordon Martin said the update was needed to ‘stand out from the crowd’.
‘The fitness industry is more competitive than ever,’ he told FEMAIL.
‘If we want to be competitive and grow the business both in Australia and internationally we need to improve our baseline as a good quality gym which is an expectation for any member nowadays.’
He described the fit out as ‘aesthetically pleasing as well as functional’, while also making the gyms more hygienic post-Covid, with easy-to-clean polished concrete floors replacing carpets.
